Building a responsible community

We recognize that behind every threat, there’s an impacted community. Being ready for anything means we can work together to protect data, embrace inclusivity, celebrate diversity and make a positive impact on our environment. As we work on these initiatives together, we can also achieve a more sustainable and socially responsible community.

Our work here is ongoing and constantly evolving

We view these initiatives as inextricable from company culture, and commit to demonstrable progress.

Environmental and sustainability

Netskope views sustainability as not only how we interact with and enhance the environment around us, but also as core to our ability to best support our stakeholders.

Netskope is committed to compliance with relevant environmental legislation, regulations, and other requirements to meet customer and community needs and expectations. We promote environmental and sustainability best practices, and run recurring improvement checks of our environmental management systems. Whenever possible, we use well known, reliable, and best-in-class data center hosting providers who are LEED certified for green data center standards.

Having developed an internal environmental policy with ambitious targets, employee training and an environmental management handbook, environmental sustainability is something we will continue to prioritize. These goals also support our long-term vision for continuous innovation, growth and efficiency, in being a steward of the resources we have, and the community around us.

Supplier diversity and sustainability

We are committed to recruit and develop diverse businesses and provide access to opportunities for those that are majority owned as small businesses, woman-owned businesses, minority-owned businesses, veteran-owned businesses, service-disabled veteran-owned businesses, and businesses in historically underutilized business (HUB) zones. Our supplier questionnaire and code of conduct guide us to work with our suppliers to have mutual goals toward furthering diversity, equality, and inclusion, as well as sustainability. We view our relationship with our suppliers as a partnership, and welcome conversations around mutual goals to support these initiatives.

Intentional and focused inclusion

Embracing our differences is core to creating an environment that attracts the best talent and encourages innovation in pursuit of our mission. Employees are invited to establish internal communities, enabling access to awareness and education for diverse groups, from celebrating calendar milestones such as Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month and Pride Month, to Hispanic Heritage Month, Women’s History Month, International Women’s Day, and Black History Month. We prioritize regular all-employee communications that educate on each of these remarkable events and offer open opportunities to foster dialogue, celebrate differences, and learn from one another. The most recent addition to our fast-growing roster of affinity groups is Vetskope, a community for military veterans from all over the world. This is the newest of several affinity groups that are long established, such as our AWON (Awesome Women of Netskope) group.

Our emphasis on DE&I also extends to our talent acquisition program, where we partner with many organizations focused on recruiting diverse talent, such as PowerToFly and Fairygodboss.com.

Employee well-being and workforce development

We prioritize programs that underscore the health of our employees and their deep willingness to give back to our communities.

In 2021, we began Global Wellness Days, company-wide paid days off on a quarterly basis for Netskope employees to take a pause from work and use time to focus on personal or community wellness.

We continue to support events such as The J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge, the world’s largest corporate running event. Each year, a beneficiary is chosen and a portion of proceeds go to the charity. Netskope has participated in this challenge every year since 2013, starting with a group of 9 runners, and this year, featuring more than 100 runners.

We also prioritize workforce development initiatives in partnership with organizations such as the Security Advisor Alliance and Deakin University.

Charitable giving and health, safety, and disaster relief

We have helped numerous charities throughout our history, and as part of our approach, we started an ongoing fundraiser within the company to help the many people around the world affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Other international programs include our support for the Starlight Foundation’s Meeting for Good and Family Giving Tree Holiday Wish Drive. We are also active in organizations and initiatives that encourage mental health preservation and burnout prevention, especially in high-stress sectors such as IT security, and among communities of CIOs, CISOs, and Network & Infrastructure leaders.
