As viewers tuned in to watch the best teams in the Overwatch League battle it out for the championship belt, the Overwatch team revealed an exciting new addition to the Overwatch roster. On Friday November 4, the Overwatch team showcased Ramattra as the newest tank in Overwatch 2. The newest character will be the fourth new character to enter into the sequel to Overwatch.

Players first got a glimpse of Ramattra in the Storm Rising campaign mission in Overwatch. The tanky omnic was seen discussing plans with Doomfist, just before Doomfist was captured by Overwatch and subsequently jailed. It appears as though Ramattra is focused on protecting omnics at any cost. Their origin story shows Ramattra as a soldier-turned-monk-turned Null Sector leader that wants to do right by their kind.

Ramattra is the second tank to join the Overwatch 2 roster after Junker Queen joined the game earlier this year. With just a single tank holding down the front line, players will be interested to see how they will play once they hit the servers. Audiences won’t have to wait long to play the new hero, as the tank is set to join the fray early December.
