Netskope has long been committed to fostering diversity on all levels, which brings valuable perspectives, backgrounds, and talents to the company. As we observe Veterans Day in the United States, we at Netskope are pleased to announce the formation of VetSkope, an affinity group for military veterans. This group will serve as a network and resource for Netskopers who served in the military, providing opportunities for professional and personal growth through mentorships, encouraging client engagement and community outreach, and raising awareness of the issues unique to veterans and military families.
VetSkope is composed of volunteer employees across the company’s U.S. and international offices. The group is open to Netskope employees who served in the Armed Forces of the United States or other nations, including current members of the National Guard and Reserve, as well as military family members and other personnel who are supportive of the mission.
As a former infantry Marine, and co-chair of VetSkope, I’ve witnessed firsthand how veterans can bring unique insights to the company through their military service, but may also face struggles when reintegrating to civilian life. VetSkope is here to support our veteran employees in that effort–and also to help coordinate the company’s work in the community using the distinct experience of our veterans.
Netskope introduced VetSkope at an internal Veterans Day commemoration event today. In addition to supporting veteran employees through mentoring and other programs, VetSkope plans to hold a series of company-sponsored initiatives focused on service in the community throughout the year. VetSkope also aims to serve our customers by collaborating with them in their veterans service initiatives, as well as assisting Netskope’s recruiting team to identify veteran talent by coordinating with external veterans groups, cohort programs, and employee recruiting events focused on military veterans.
